Doug, you have 2 good hands...use them. You will spend countless hours trying to make those kinda things work and you will never be happy. Practice!!!

It's a slick product to be sure. The price they want to charge for it is a bit ridiculous if you ask me though...

$320+ dollars for a few pieces of plate and angle iron with some holes and slots milled in it? I think I'd try to make one for myself before I spent that kind of coin.... Could probably fabricate something similar for a significantly less amount of money.

Its not for me. Its for a friend who is 83 yrs old & is not really a custom maker but turns out 20 to30 "sportsman" quaiity knives at a time. All he does is HG & he's getting older & slower.

I have a friend that bought one. He has arthritis and he spent more time trying to make it work than grinding a blade. I don't know. It may be the ticket for your friend. I would think a properly setup angle iron jig would be easier. Just a thought.

If you ask me, this 300+ dollar jig is little more than a couple of pieces of angle iron on a fancy sled that simple moves up and down and back and forth. It actually seems a bit overcomplicated to me. But to each their own.
