My name is Tim Heikkila and I started making knives in 2016. Four years later and I'm still enjoying it.

Here are some of the latest off the bench.


4" hunter with Buckeye Burl and G-10 liners. Blade is 1084.

3.5" Skinner with Buckeye Burl and African Blackwood, G10 liners.

5" Utility. Thought it would work well in the kitchen. Handle is dyed Maple burl with G10 liners.

7.5" Chef wearing some of the nicest spalted Koa I've worked with.

I finish the tops of the scales at an angle prior to glue up. It does show off the liners that way.

First time using Giraffe bone as handle material. It polishes up very nicely. 3.25" blade, 1084 steel. Gonna have to try dyeing it next time.

Absolutely. Liners really can change the whole look. So many creative choices to make.

I'm a sucker for some nicely figured Buckeye myself. Some might consider it an addiction... Some would be my wife
