The frame handle Bowie is complete.
Specs:
1084 Steel, 3/16 thick. HRC 59-60
Guard and spacers- antiqued 1084 and patina copper.
Handle- Desert Ironwood burl

Just finished up another order.
Based off a kitchen utility knife. 80crv2
with vine file work. Sporting some dyed Redwood lace burl with natural Micarta pin stripes.

80crv2 with spalted dyed Maple, g10 liners and “s” pattern file work.

Hiker variant. 1084 with some Bloodwood burl. I like this handle material, even though it stains my hands blue when wet sanding. Been keeping my eye out for more.

A couple more just finished. This one is an 8” chef with Ebony and a Box Elder burl spacer in 15N20.

A 7” Santoku and small paring knife for a customer. This is some hybrid resin and dyed Chestnut burl. Really beautiful stuff.

Here’s the frame handle Bowie and frontier style rawhide sheath I’ve been working on. Blade, guard, frame and fittings are 1084. Handle is Giraffe bone.
