Grizzly 10 wheel

here is a link to the wheel. http://www.grizzly.com/products/10-Aluminum-Rubber-Wheel-For-G1015/G9242 The reason i was told that the 10" wheels are cheaper is that the grinder comes with an 8" wheel and your left hand will hit the grinder so they made the 10" wheel to correct the problem

Yeah...that is what I found...thanks. It looks like you are getting a nice high hollow on your wide blades. I feel like im cheatin it sometimes with the 8".

Ok I just ordered my wheel from grizzly, I am cutting steel tomorrow for my KMG clone, I think Ill do a WIP on it. Wish me luck.

Jeff on the 8" grizzly wheel does it seem like it has enough meat in the middle to modify it for the bearings?

I just had a serrated tire put on a new Beaumont 8" wheel = 280.00.



EDIT:

The first wheel I owned was a 10".

I now grind 99% of my knives with an 8". Gives more of a pronounced hollow if that's what you're looking for.

I'm a little late to post on this Bill sorry . I got a quote recently from Andrew at Contact Rubber to re-tire a serrated 8" wheel , $ 98.00

My 8" grizzly wheel came in the mail today. The hub is the same size as the 10" wheel so it will work just the same as the 10" wheel
