Keep it up. Consider beveling or sanding a radius into the inside diameter of your lanyard tube edges. It looks like your paracord may be short lived as is.

Like your blade shape that you went with. On chefs knives, leaving that unsharpened portion on the blade will lead to problems down the road. As the blade gets sharpened, the rear portion of the blade can no longer contact your cutting surface, and you pretty quickly lose the use of the rear half of your blade.
