Great post, thanks....I have loads of burls I need to use up which have stabilised and this method will be great.

Yes Burl looks great with this method. There is a 150 year old maple tree that was cut down on my road, there is still a small 1/2 Burl on the stump that I want to grab but it's on state land and I don't have a chain saw.
