My make shift etcher, finally quit working.I built one off of
Chris Crawfords site, and just want to make sure I have it
wired right.
Could someone tell me what the voltage should be,comming from
the AC and DC side?I have enough to make another, and will be
posting up for sale,if anyone is interested.
Thanks for the help,

God bless,Keith

Hi Keith

I can't see the voltage specifications of the Radioshack transformer listed, except for what appears to be 25V printed on the top left corner of the transformer packaging in the photo on Chris's site. Since his diagram shows that the transformer has a center tapped secondary winding the transformer gives you the option of two different output voltages ie: a 120V to 25V center tapped transformer, will give you 25V AC off the transformer secondary winding if you use the two outer wires, or 12.5V + 12.5V if you use the center wire as a common connection.

Chris's wiring instructions are a bit unorthodox, but it appears from a quick read through as if he is using the center tapped windings - one for AC and the other for DC.
So you should measure +/-12.5V AC when the switch is set to AC, and +/- 12V DC when the switch is set to DC. (assuming you have this transformer)

Kind Regards
Rick
