i like it i wish i could make 5 knives a week ,he didnt say anything like catching your shirt on fire three times in a day like i did today LOL.

That was awesome Wayne, Thanks for posting it! Seriously a positive aspect to knives, on a network TV channel, what's the world coming to? Makes you think there may be some hope left, that the liberals might, ( I can dream), wake up!

I don't usually watch that show but happened to be tuned in. I was pleasantly surprised by the way they handled the story. 2thumbs I'm really glad they focused on things like art and craftsmanship, and knives being important tools we all need. Perhaps we should all email CBS and thank them for a thoughtful and intelligent approach to the subject.

When that segment originally aired back in Nov, his site crashed in about 10 min. I got all the traffic from that, it took me about 3 days to re direct all the emails back to him. I've got 6 emails since yesterday asking about kitchen knives. I've talked to Mr. Kramer before and he is a great guy.

That was a great segment. I will admit to cringing a bit when he was bending the blade 90* in the vise with no protective gear, even gloves on. I guess if you're 100% confident in your steel....

That looks a lot like a 250# or a 500# Little Giant. At the time they were made there was also the Meyer and several other companies that built similar hammers. Little Giant even made a 1,000# hammer. Go to http://www.littlegianthammer.com/index.html for more information. At the Cambria Iron Works (http://www.jaha.org/BlacksmithShop/history.html) they have 2,000, 4,000 and even a 10,000# power hammer. They say that when the 10,000# hammer is operating they can feel it down in the coal mines.
