I'm working on a couple hunters in cpm154 for my nephews for graduation. I have never used the steel and trying to decide on hardness. I will be sending out for heat treat. Any recommendations? Is appreciated.
yes. an engineer for crucible told me they suggest trying 63RC as it would hold up but I never did get around to that. I do feel, but never measured in any sense, that 61rc holds and edge quite a bit longer than the over rated 59RC.Is that for all use knives wether they are edc, kitchen, hunting knife?
