Chef's knife - Hand Forged 52100

Hey guys!
Was finally able to finish another knife and a video of the process!

Didn't change my logo yet but I hope that now that I'm using electro etching and the definition is better, it will not be mistaken for something else...

Let me know what you guys think, ideas and improvements for the next ones!

Forged out of 52100 1" round stock:

I honestly didn't think the integral bolster would be so cool... but when I held the finished knife for the first time I knew that from that moment on knifemaking would start taking a little longer everytime! hahaha

Do it! You will not regret it!
Definately a little harder than making a knife without it but if you keep the bolster and tang centered while forging it shouldn't be too much more work...

Got a chance to watch some of your other videos. The Camp knife turned out very nice! Keep up the good work. By the way, you have ugly feet. Don't drop a knife on them.

I actually almost cut my foot off the other day.
The belt snaped while I was shapenning another knife and it sliped off my hand and got stuck to a piece of wood right next to my foot! Oo
I learnt my lesson! Only go into the shop with my boots now!

That is truly forging and a GREAT job. I'd admire to forge an integral bolster like that, but do know my limits. GREAT JOB! and a good looking knife.

edit: I just watched the video - good job on editing the video. Now, a question please - I note the hole drilled in tang was filled with a rivet then ground smooth. Why this step? I realize the pin went thru that spot - was it because the rivet would be easier to drill than the tang without "walking" the bit in the wood?
