I’m looking for a short paragraph or list to care for high carbon steel blades. maybe it can’t be short. I want to include a card with any knife I give away or sell. Anybody have something like that?
Thank you. No rush , hurry up.I also have one. I’ll post it up in a bit.
Thanks OPThis is what I attach to my knives.
Thank you for purchasing one of my handcrafted knives!

Caring for your custom knife:
Carbon steel will rust if not protected. It will develop a patina with use. Keep your knife clean and dry and lightly oiled. Do not put your knife in the dishwasher. Do not store your knife in its leather sheath for extended periods of time. Keep stainless blades clean and dry, a light coat of oil is recommended.
What is patina? Carbon steel will begin to develop a patina (stain) as you use it and is unique to carbon steel. As it develops it helps prevent rust, but it does not make it 100% percent safe against rust. Allow your blade to achieve patina naturally and keep it clean and oiled as you would any fine tool.
Take care of your knife and it will serve you well. Use it but don’t abuse it.
