Do you guys find it difficult to finish to a smooth flat finish? I have been at it for a few hours by hand.

Here it is after an hour

This is it after re-sanding, teak oil and buffing.

Teak oil was the only way to get it like this. Any suggestions.

If you want a real smooth finish, why use burlap micarta? Just for the cool-looking pattern?

In any case, using oil isn't cheating, bro. Whatever works!

teak oil is good. I keep hearing about WD40 getting used to darken and smooth out some larger weave material.
