KNIFE MAKER
UK: Police Handing Out Blunt Knives to Domestic Violence Victims to Reduce Stabbings in the Home

Victims of domestic violence will have their kitchen knives replaced with blunt utensils to prevent their partners attacking them in their own home.

Nottinghamshire Police are piloting the scheme where around 100 ‘no point’ knives will be handed to victims who have either been threatened or attacked with a knife.

Police are concerned about the high level of knife-related incidents that happen in the home, and are hoping the new scheme has the potential to save lives.

Domestic violence knife crime makes up more than 17 percent of incidents reported to Nottinghamshire Police.0_NPK2JPG.jpg

I'm gonna start making Sporks to market to the police over there!! That is absolutely ludicrous!!

This did get me to thinking ( maybe not such a good idea !) : if these are gonna be mandatory, what a great business opportunity....make these then take the old sharp knives on trade and convert them to the new and improved blunt knives and sell them to all the law abiding citizens. Wonderful opportunity for an entrepreneur !

Welcome to the logical progression of gun control.

I am reading reports that in London, since banning knives hasn’t worked, the carrying of screwdrivers or any implement is now a crime.

Next helmets will be mandatory, just in case you were to slip in the shower. If I were living with somebody who was going to stab me, I would think a suitcase would be the best safety equipment to try... or we could also issue rubber baseball bats. Am I the only one that feels the entire world is suffering from mass insanity?
No. The world has gone CRAZY!

Also...making the VICTIM be the one to have the new wonder utensil is proof how effective gun/knife control laws are...utterly useless. What if the criminal brings his own knife...ask for a "time-out" to give him the properly blunted implement?

I imagine that soon they'll be taking old peoples' canes away so that they don't hit other people with them. I have one that has an acrylic nob about the size of a billiard ball on the end of it. That one could be dangerous....but legal. Who said there wasn't an advantage to old age. You can carry a bludgeon in public and no one looks twice.

I made mysef a waking stick with a 3 inch length of heavy walled brass tube on the bottom of the 1 inch rimu (NZ native wood) shaft and an 8 inch length of brass at the top with a brass knob on the top (knob from an old door handle) It weighs exactly 1 1/2 b and makes a good defence/offence ready reaction tool

Are you sure there isn't some sort of sword hidden in there somewhere...?

They've lost their guns, now their losing their pointy objects. broom sticks and plungers are next.

No, they've lost their minds.

Still the most dangerous object is a #2 lead pencil and they are legal in first grade classes up through and including 12th grade or any place else. Well, I'm not sure that you can get one through a TSA check point. If you can't you can probably carry a ball point pen.
