Hey fellas, first let me say I'm new to this site. That being said, I know some of you from other forums. I made something that is not my usual style this time.
I started with a piece of Brad Vices damascus that I had laying on my bench and shaped it to a modified Nessmuk blade. Then I added some curly maple shaped in a birdshead grip for the handle. Not really satisfied I then put some wings on it from wenge for contrast (notice the feather detials in the wing). Still not quite there, I inserted a homemade mosaic pin "eye" for a final touch.
Then my better half, Tudy, made a sheath fitting for a falcon. Including painting a falcon "feather" on the throat of the sheath. The keeper is a piece of leather with Hawk bells.
Good or bad we would appreciate your comments (like I said, not my usual style)...Bud & Tudy
