Adventures of JJB11B my thread for past projects and WIP’s

"I'll post pics of the shop as soon as I am not embarrassed by the state of things ...."

Me for the last 3 years....lol.

hey would it help to move your anvil closer to the forge? I'm not a forge guy but seems like the hotter you whack it the better?

Tell me more about this!
It’s a thermo couple with a K rating, they make a ceramic shield for them so they don’t get scorched in the forge

I modded my POS 4x36 so that I can actually do plungelines today, I barely got done cutting the notches in each side of the platen thing before I got caught by the Mrs. and she whooped me with a rolled up newspaper and made go back to the couch (I embellished that last part a smidge)

And promptly caught it on fire after giving I a thorough cleaning and polishing and mounting it in a vertical stand... I’m once again grinderless

So how is the wound??? Better than the one Mama gave you with the rolled up newspaper, I hope!! :p Not laughing at you, laughing with you!

My wife has got to where she has a way of saying it so that I know she is really whizzed at me. I stuck a machete in my leg a year or so ago, and working outside and in the shop, it got infected. So I have been there to get that same sermon!! 41years of marriage I just hate it when she gives me that look!! o_O My brain starts going OK what did I do now!!

KEVIN!!! Lol...

the other day I told someone, 'I'd sell the boys...but no one wants teenagers...." They didn't think it as funny as I did...lol

Well, I didn’t get any knives made but I did put a new handle on a nice little Collins axe yesterday. I’ve had the axe for 6 or 7 years. Bought the new handle for it probably 3 years ago. Finally put it together. One small victory

Don’t get in a hurry Jon! Doggonit I used too much super glue and got over-zealous with my chisel trying to pop the scale off this knife. It cracked and my temper tantrum was to snap it all the way off
