5160 with Stag and my shop dog.

The blade is forged 5160 @ 61 HRC 8 inches long. Handle is Sambar stag, curly Koa with wrought iron fittings & G-10 spacers. Overall length is 13 inches. This is a gift for the fire chief of our small village. He's spent 33 years in the VFD A very dedicated gentleman.

The photo at the bottom, even though not knife worthy, is of my shop dog, Tipper, a 3 year old female and a wonderful companion.

Real nice knife, love it. For some reason those black dogs love laying in the sun to get real warm. I have a black lab/pit mix that just loves laying in the sun, me, I'm just the opposite. Lol.

Outstanding design and execution, Fred. And what a nice gift for the VFD Chief. I also have a black lab/pit bull mix (a Pitador) that's about 90% lab and 10% pit bull. His name is Sarge and he loves everbody - except those who put their hands on the people he loves. He has never bitten anyone but he sure does warn them that he is about to.
