I find this type of stamping difficult even when drawing out a patteren. I have only done a few in the past but kindaq give up for a while now im trying again.

My latest stingray inlay sheath edges been burnished with gum, water proofed , saddle stitched by hand 8oz veg tan leather with a 4 oz cover on top the sting ray inlay. I did a little stamping nothing special but the knife kicks, Desert Ironwood burl , mosaic pins and lanyard with CPM154...

you kinda have way to broad of a range it should be one type of material and mine would be maple hands down.

you can get cpm 154 from pretty much most the steel sellers at this site. I dont use much of any other steel for serious knives.

laurence im glad to hear guys like you keep on top of quality vs the price . I wont sacrifice it and just maybee this new company is onto something that will make the competators more price weary. I will always spend more to get the best but if you can do it at half the cost thats a huge find...

I dont think ide cut the burl at all ide drill a couple shallow holes and make a wire rack using the burl as the back ground .

Red wood is very light so would buckeye burl and sycamore. Even stabilized they would make a great wood handle but if its anything other ide use carbon fiber its 5 times lighter and super strong.

I found I like using ebony as much as horn yes orn is more money but the quality is as good in my opinion as long as the ebony is a streak free jet blasck its awewsome. welld done.kellyw

Well I would expect to see some sort of stabilized exotic wood my favorite is super curly maple burl with a light honey brown color for dye , mosaic pins but not to large but lots of pins inside the design then the thong tube should match . bolsters nickle silver would be nice but not...
