I started using it after being gifted a bottle in the Christmas exchange here. I like it a lot, seems to work well, ymmv.

Another method to keep solder off the ricasso area is to coat it with pencil lead. Heating the tang area to a higher temp than the ricasso will "pull" more solder away from the ricasso and guard front also.
