I think that it looks good. The way to get those dips and keep them is to practice. It has taken me a while to figure out how to get more activity rather than a slightly wavy line. Here are a couple that I recently did.

I think that it also came out good but I don't think that what you see is what you are going to get. I think that what you see is the scale from where you applied the cement. I think that once you start polishing you will see something different. But who knows, I could be wrong?

Bushings can be very helpful when you have problems peening pins. The advantage is that the blade rides on the bushing and not on the pin. This allows you to peen the pin as much as you want and not pinch the blade.

Yes, It sits under part of a staircase, and at the time that was the best place for it. I can always build a new upright to use a longer belt. After I get more use out of it I could always go to a 1X48.

Brian, The machine is small and I was limited to space. I also have a 2X42 grinder that I use so I can just split the belts if I have to. Thanks for all your help and for answering all my questions.
