    WIP Presentation box set

Picked up the rest of the discs and tags today so this will be a set for one box. While I was picking up some more wood for the boxes I saw this piece of fiddleback and just had to have it for knife handles athough not for this project as they will be ebony.

    Urgent Request- Double Sheath

I did one some time back as a piggy back sheath. I made them as individual sheaths with belt loops except the smaller sheath had a flat strip sewn at both ends to keep it more compact and the larger sheath had an extended end to its standard loop which allowed for the secondary strap to go...

Finally Back in the Shop and Producing!

I know what it is like to have to re-do something OP. I was on the finish clean-up of three matched knives (with different handle woods though) and had a brass bolster on one where the pin had not riveted properly and it could be seen with the dark ring round it. It was very nervous drilling out...

    Kimmi's Cutlery Photos

That kirinite is something else again. The beauty of the handles takes the eye away from the blades but they are equally worth studying in detail. Great selection of knives (and the knife block) there Gene

    Good Equipment = Good Investment

I have always advocated for buying the quality you need. Some tools are used rarely and can be of handyman quality but for high use tools the best trade quality is a must. Cost is recovered by reliability and longevity

    Various knives

The tang has a series of V notches ground in using the edge of a 120 grit belt so there is plenty of grip for the epoxy and no need for a pin. The copper bolster was a tap fit and tight to the tang and ricasso so a couple of heavy rubber bands over that and the top of the handle was all that was...

    Various knives

I had a tag end of 1075 so decided to make a pattern for a camp knife/butcher knife. I had made myself one a long time back with a 8 1/2 inch blade for dicing meat etc when breaking down an animal but found it was more blade than I needed so thought this one with a 5 1/5 in blade would be more...

    WIP Presentation box set

Will do Tracy. I am seeing the engravers this morning and going over what I need with the Malon Labe helmet on a 18mm disc to be inlet into the ebony knife handle, 1911 grip and the box lid. Another two brass tags on the underside of the lid with one having the gun shop details and the other...
