Next set of scales for the next small camp Bowie. I got this wood from J.Doyle and I believe he said it was unstabaliized Koa so it is getting multiple tru oil coats.

I can only echo what the others have said. I will say no matter who they are all of us part timers struggle with where you are at right now. It is easy to see others turning out what seems like endless knives, flawless finishes in record time. Dont get wrapped up in comparing to others. I work...

Yes it is. The next one has got either curly koa or curly walnut I cant tell which it is is and remeber. I got it from J Doyle several years ago. I have a 4th one that I need to re heat treat.

I finished another sheath for the camp bowies. Learning a little more each time and finding ways to improve. By the 4th one they should practically make themselves :D

Hey Kev, I made one plunge less to once and had the same feeling of like but dont like. Your knife looks good but I know what you mean it kinda looks odd to because we are so used to seeing a plunge line.

Cool steel and knife for sure. If you could do a San mai with some know steel in the middle would be a really nice piece.
