    I can picture if the mark was on the right side with the handle facing left in a show, it would be awkward for a right handed to pick up the knife. And we know the world revolves around the right handed community. As it should.

    That’s a good idea. Yes I have had two surgery’s on my hands so the stitching is tough. my daughter is a good sewer but I think she would need a special machine that is $$$$$

    It was a tough year for many so adding another gift to give might have been difficult. although I do miss it. What do others feel. Unless there was one and I was blacklisted . Edit. I’m not starting one, I think it’s a little late, I was just mentioning I enjoyed it last year.

    Yeah I rather just work on knives, not making sheaths is one reason I’m stalling opening up a shop. Id rather have somebody else make them for me.

    I am actually more partial to a plain sheath with a really nice leather makers mark, than the the fancy ones. That is beautiful work.

    Hahaha I know that’s why I get pissed when I cave and buy some. I now sticking to wood like desert iron wood. I don’t mind spending 15 dollars for a set but I have spent upwards to 40 and 50 and messed it up.

    Are we looking for the same sharpness as a hunter or skinner. You know, the paper test. Or does that mean the edge is too thin to handle bushcraft tasks. Secondary edge or no?

    I’ll try that too. I chose dark because there was a bit of a shadow still left on the image that blended nicely into the dark background. So that’s cheating a little. Lol

    How do I achieve this

    I use a kiln. should I try a propane torch after quenching or temper it at 400 degrees with oil still on it? Is that what you mean by baking?
