    Bird & Trout

Recently completed B&T. Nicholson file with lightly scorched curly birch. 1/8 brass. I know a lot of guys frown on files because of the lack of pos-ID on the steel but I have had very good results with the Nicholson brand. (With a lot of failures). Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

You know my first exposure to bladesmithing was an old Ron Hood video featuring Tai Goo and Tim Lively. It was called "Neo-tribal bladesmithing". I was hooked from then on out. I have made quite a few in the 6 short years I have been at it, and I learn something new each time. Welcome and I have...

    Diamond in the rough

Agreed!! I work for a major wine and spirits company so it is handsomely rewarded along with the $ reimbursement. A case of top shelf never hurts the cause!

    Diamond in the rough

Ha! You know, I think I will hold on to this one. I may even carry it.

    Diamond in the rough

Exactly. Schrade is certainly not what it used to be.

    An absolute shameful act

Did the exact same thing with a set of exhibition walnut scales. The kind of scales that were selected specifically for a pattern that flowed absolutely perfectly with the blade profile. I was sick to my stomach brother. I feel ya!!
