another big file knife with a more angular blade shape than the standard B3 model. acid etched finish with a fully sharpened swedge. handle is natural/brown micarta with brass pins.

This is a frikin sweet blade. Love the splatter pattern and the light an dark combo on the micarta coloring.

What's your heat treat process?? I use a lot of Nicholson files for knives myself. Very cool!!

Nicholson files are basically W2 tool steel. just HT like you would any W2 steel. i do fully anneal them before i profile and grind them, no use wasting belts on hardened steel.
