Ya know what grinds my gears?

What grinds my gears is that little gnome that follows me around the shop and moves my small tools. My pencil I was just using. My calipers. That #10 drill. I mean really - I was just using my pencil - how in the heck did it get in the refrigerator?

-Getting old is not for sissy's!
The real trick is when I go to look for my reading glasses. And then realize they've been on top of my head the whole time.

Or do what I've been doing. Slide my reading glasses up onto the top of my head when I don't need them and realize there's already a pair up there. So far I haven't found 2 pairs up there. That's when I'll start worrying.

I do that all the time with safety glasses. And yes I have found two pair on top of my head.
When my oldest daughter was 3ish - she always rode around on my shoulders - always. Her and I were in one of the big box DIY stores and I briefly panicked as she was no-where to be seen. I hollered her name "TIFFANY!?"- and she replied "what daddy" - from on my shoulders.... Yes - I was holding her legs.... :D

I don't know if I should confess this or not, but sunglasses and reading glasses make for a rather crowded forehead.

When you fly to Michigan to help move your family home to Washington and you have no time to stop for anything cool! Man some of the stuff I’d have killed to stop at! I’m in Wisconsin right now and heading to Billings MT tomorrow

Having done the WA <-> Chicago drive a number of times, I'll reassure you that there's not much to miss in MN, ND or eastern MT either....unless you stop for some fishing, that is.

Hey now... if you get off I-94 a ways we have many redeeming qualities in The Land of 10,000 Lakes. As for ND and eastern MT... well there's a reason the westbound Amtrak leaves St. Paul at 10:00pm...

Forgetting to drill holes in five knives before I send them out for heat treat and not realizing it until I get them back!!! Too distracted I guess?
Fortunately I was able to grind out a slot in the middle of the handle using the small wheel and a 36 grit belt. I won't be making that mistake again!
That's why I keep a few carbide drill bits on hand.
