Finished out the prototype kukri. Forge finish 1080 with linen micarta handle and orange liners. I will do many things different next time.
Best advice I can give right now is start with about 1/4” stock. I ran out steel for the belly I wanted using 3/16.Cool! I like it. A Kukri is on my 'to do' list
I refuse to comment without seeing a video of you testing it. Lol no seriously... good job on this.... I really appreciate the forging side of things. Gonna try it out myself.... one of these days.
Yes!!! Awesome! I love the aluminum can, and the slow mo was the cherry on top. Too cool!
I agree, I get that feeling all the time, glad Im not the only crazy one.I love it when a first of anything comes off close to what was intended but the very real pleasure is with the learning that makes for immediate plans for the next one with improvments in either method or style already causing excitment when you look at it.
