Do you believe God?

A lot of people believe IN God but a good many of them don't believe God.
The Bible dosent contain the word of God,it IS the word of God.
So in order to believe God you must read God's word and believe it.

Yes! And God does not lie, so whatever the word says, you can stand on it. When we believe, He will honor it. His promises belong to us, if we will just believe.

"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive, and you will have." (Mark 11:24)

Awesome, isn't it....:)

I'm not so sure about Mark 11:24.

God answers all Prayers, yes, but sometimes the answer is "No".

As a result, I lost a dear Friend this past Wednesday.:2:
A lot of you may know, or know of, her.
Judy Schmitt(jschmitt).

Well, one of my Prayers was answered. He took her quickly, without suffering.

Doesn't take anything away from my Faith though.

I'm sorry you lost your friend. There is a 'catch' to Mark 11:23-24... believing in one's head and believing in one's heart are not the same, overcoming our flesh (that is, our sense-ruled logical mind) and believing the impossible regardless of what natural logic and sense knowledge tell us... this is what true faith is, and it can be difficult- actually, it is impossible, without tapping in to the power of the Spirit within. I have not arrived yet, but I have started the journey. Let God be true, and every man a liar...

My aunt passed away about a year ago from cancer. I was believing for her to recover, believing and confessing the truth of God's word found in Isaiah 53:4-5 that by His stripes... After she passed, I talked with my cousin, her daughter, and learned she had asked my cousin to stop praying for her recovery, that she had lived a good full life and was ready to go home. After learning this, I was at peace, I understood why she was not healed and as odd as it may sound I was happy for her, her prayer was answered and she is very happy where she is. I was reminded that death is not the end, but a new beginning, and for the believer a wonderful beginning indeed. I miss her, but I'm happy for her, and I'll see her again soon enough.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

I believe.

As a result, I lost a dear Friend this past Wednesday.
My condolences, Loss of a loved one is always hard. I will pray for you and her loved ones. Today my pastor spoke on the eternal life and our present one. Life is short even when you live a long time. The life to come is one without death, fear or sickness. A life in perfect harmony with God and each other. Sounds pretty good to me

John
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.

James
18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

You can't earn salvation but we should work for God like we are trying:)

God’s word is written in the hearts of all humankind, and reflected everywhere in creation.

Not every one can read,… but all can listen, forever, Amen.

No two people totally agree on any religion. There are as many religions as there are people. I believe I am a Born Again Christian, a Servant of my Lord, Jesus Christ, the son of the Living God. But I doubt many of yall would see me as a man on a Spiritual Path dedicated to a Code of Ethics. I cuss, drink, get high and get in more than my fair share of fights. I am a True Believer. But I don't think your version of the bible is The Truth. It may be Your Truth and it may also be My Truth but I don't believe it is Everyone's Truth. I'm True to the Voice Within. Not yours. Mine. And I believe We All should be True to Yourself.

I agree with you on some points, but I do believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. It is hard to argue with prophecies being fulfilled, the odds are astronomical that these things happened by chance. If one is honest with oneself, the truth is unavoidable. God is real, and He has revealed Himself in the sacred scriptures so that we may know the truth. Without the guidance of the scriptures, there is no truth, only opinions.

Do I understand it all, no. But I believe it. Has it been taught correctly, interpreted correctly, translated correctly, understood correctly? No, I believe the reality revealed in the word of God more than I believe what my 5 senses tell me.

"And we the spirit of the world did not receive, but the Spirit that [is] of God, that we may know the things conferred by God on us, which things also we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Holy Spirit, with spiritual things spiritual things comparing, and the natural man doth not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for to him they are foolishness, and he is not able to know [them], because spiritually they are discerned" 1 Cor. 2:12-14, Young's Literal Translation

I believe if you follow the truth as you hear it in your heart then you shall find the path meant for you to follow and you shall serve God's will. Jesus is who I hear but I believe a Muslim can find the truth as well. Any one who is true to themselves is following God's will. I don't pretend to understand all the complexities that creates but I believe it is true. We all hear voices within us. To pretend you don't is foolish. Each of us has a flesh body that contains some sort of life force than none of us can prove what it is exactly. Science can't prove it and neither can religion. Each soul must decide what the truth is for them.

I see what Tim is saying. None of it means anything until we REALIZE it in ourselves.

We should not let the grace of God become an excuse to further our sin.

Our faith is invalid if we do not make every effort put our humanity, compassion and kindness towards others first,... and cut out the fighting.

Sharpen your intuition on the stone of your spirit.

… Cut out the bad habits and you shall be the best.

The Bible is God. It may have been written by man but the men that wrote it were God inspired. Human kind does not talk this way naturally. We were given a choice. We can believe or not. Here's a few verses about end times. The verses from Daniel are from the Old Testament. The verses from Revelation are from the New Testament. Closed and now open......

Daniel 12 9

9 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

Revelation 22 10

10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. 11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”

Become soft like copper in your kindness, compassion and grace… yet be hard and resilient like steel in your soul-strength,… while you are forging the blade of your consciousness.

Thank you Ray for those verses.
They are very powerful when shown together like that.
