I want to do it up right so I was wondering what screws need to be counter bored and what one need to be counter sunk ? I have a couple counter sink but no counter bores. What size and what counter bores are needed to make it look nice ?

I ll take pics when I get working on it but I am no master builder.

thanks

Dave

The screws for the stop pin are 2-56, the ones for the spacers are 4-40 and the pivot one is 8-??. You can use #2 counterbore and #4 counterbores for the handle ones but the pivot hole is 0.25" so it is too wide to use a #8 counterbore easily. Instead you can get counterbores with exchangable pilots. I am using a 3/8 counterbore with the 0.25" pilot for it.

Dave,I do most all my counter boreing with drill bits.Just get a bit a couple
sizes larger than your screw head.Good luck

Yeah if you just use the #4 counterbores you will have to thin the screw heads down
