I am assuming that where your name is in the post had a link to your profile that the ID there is your number in the big list. If I mouse over BossDog I can see he is member number 3. I am member number 1041.

In the screen capture below the red arrow points at the user name, hover your cursor over that. Then look at the bottom left where the red circle is in the picture and it shows your number. In the screen capture I have the cursor on Joe Levy's name and at the bottom it shows his number is 121.

The number in front of my name is my member number.
