wip japanese style kitchen knife

Hi guys, I've started making knives last summer and ever since been selling easily the nicer ones to relatives and friends so I thought I'd make a decent one for myself and get to keep it!

Here it is , honesuki-like blade shape in AEB-L steel with arctic blue kirinite handle. Feels great and shaves like crazy !

I have a lot of fun taking pictures of the work I put in my knives, it's great to have a story in pictures to see what it came from and what problems you've had with it.

And yes, this is 1 1/2 stock that I've been trying to figure what to do with for quite some time.
In the first time I was planning to do fillet knives with it but haven't got to it yet.

Very nice looking kitchen cutter.
I have one suggestion for you if that's alright. I shape and polish to my 1000 grit the end of the scales before I epoxy/bolt the handle/scales to the tang.

That makes life a lot easier since i don't have to try to get into the ricasso area after the knife is assembled.
