What is best way to do hidden pivot pin?

I have always liked the look of hidden pivots on liner locks (just 2 small screws holding bolster on) but did not know how to do it so am asking for tips please. Seems like it would be best to have a pivot screw countersunk into liner under the bolster, but I think some just use a shouldered or straight bushing and pin only, and relying on the backspacer or standoffs to hold knife together- is this a rigid design? If can let me how you recommend doing it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Counter sink the backs of the bolsters to allow room for the screw head.
Put the bolster on the liner and spot drill throught the liner side then remove bolster and drill deep enough to give clearance for the screw head.
