Well, I had to start somewhere.

I have made only fixed blades, but I thought I would try my hand at a slip joint. Only thing I really had to go by was a small photo of a kit slip joint in a catalog.

This is actually my second attempt. My first came out fair, but this one is a little better. I still have a long way to go, but at least its a start.

That looks pretty darn impressive to me! I had to read your post twice to make sure you weren't just showing the "little pic from the catalog".

And I really like the satin finish on the bolsters.

Thanks guys. My old head still hurts from trying to figure everything out. I found that you have to constantly think about 3 steps ahead of what you are doing.

I had fun and may try another soon.
