I was thinking of trying buffalo horn as a bolster , any thoughts?

Work it slow. If it over heats it will start to delaminate.

It's very soft and will easy overcut when shaping. I personally think it's junk. Frank

I did it once. Came out OK. In no hurry to do it again. You got to go really slow or it can burn. Be sure and wear a respirator. This stuff is bad for your lungs. So bad I rather use something else.
