Hi, guys I just bought this bayonet supposed to be from the Indian wars. can anyone tell me what information they may have on this bayonet? I am new to collecting bayonets so whatever info you fellow collectors may have would be appreciated.
Thank You
Martin

I'm in no way trying to be rude or disrespectful, just information for you. I doubt you'll get much information or interaction posting factory made knives/edge items. Most folks here are custom knifemakers, and while we might know some things about factory/production knives, it's not that anybody is ignoring your threads....it's just that most of us don't have much to say when it comes to factory/production pieces. ;)

All my great knowledge and wisdom says "yes, it's a sharp pokey thing".

In all seriousness, report back when you do find out. Looks cool!

Take a look over at a muzzleloader forum, you should find out pretty quick anything you want to know about them. there's quite a few on the web.
