Kevin Zito
KNIFE MAKER
Thanks, brother! I’m finishing up the sheaths now... should have a few pics shortly. I forgot to put my mark on them so that should be interesting lol.
Those knives are something those boys will never forget. Well done, Kevin. Von's point about the front of the handles is something that I will take to heart on my own hunting knives going forward.
Thanks guys! Yes the point made by Gruff is spot on.,, I hold a knife in the way he describes very often. A nicely contoured handle like the ones you do serve the same purpose I’ve found.Very classy!
This is also an extremely good point! Thank you for the insight!Contouring the front bolster also helps on insertion into the sheath.
If you see a sheath with gouged area , a lot of the time that front edge of the bolster is not broke to help it.
They better be lol. There are going to be two very happy young men come gift giving time
Hey where do you suggest starting the inward slope toward the spine. Is there a formula? There are going to be two very happy young men come gift giving time
If you mean for the front of the Handle then on a full length handle I start easing the front about a inch to inac and a quarter back. I generally make my handles a long oval with a slight taper to the front and rear except when I do a splayed rear like on a bowie style.Hey where do you suggest starting the inward slope toward the spine.
