These are the first tomahawks to leave the shop in a while. They all went to the same customer. All 1/4" 4140 and black TeroTuf, with Kydex sheaths set up with a second retention strap, MOLLE locks, and shoulder slings.

An 18" Wrecker.





An 18" War Chief with sharpened inner beard.





And a 12" Woodsman, pics taken prior to the carry hardware being added to the sheath.





He wants some more. I shall not endeavor to dissuade him. :D

Hope to get another batch waterjetted this week, but most of those will be for a group buy. Hopefully a couple of prototypes will be in there too, though.
 
Great work James! I've always been impressed with you're kydex work too. What thickness do you use to get that definition?

The Kydex is .080". Here's a video showing how I make the sheaths:

The only difference is I now use a T-shirt press to heat the Kydex. It's one of the best tools I have ever bought for the shop! I *highly* recommend it for anyone doing Kydex.
 
Thanks James. That was pretty informative. I'll look into the t-shirt press. I've been using a great gun with ok results but I think my home built press needs more clamps or is too large. I never thought if making a template per blade. It would make things easier.
 
You're welcome. :) The T-shirt press is one of the best tool investments I've made. It makes heating Kydex so much better.

I wish I had seen this video (the section starting at about 8:00) before doing my sheath tooling. It would have sped up the process. :)
