Hey all, finished my first culinary knife. It's the first time I've tried to create a hamon. It's the first blade I hardened before grinding the primary bevels. I made it as a gift for a friends 80th birthday.
13" Overall
8" Blade
ground from 1095
Copper bolsters and base
Brass pins throughout
Zebra wood handle and block (grain matched)

i know of a couple of boo boos. Input welcome if ya have any thoughts.

using my phone to post this. Not sure why the one pic is on top. Whatever.

Nice, like the look of the the copper on the bolsters and the base support, ties it all together as one package, I love working with copper. I can't find any boo boos, I'm sure he will love it

I'm sure your friend will be very happy to own this knife, and you should be very proud of your work. It looks great.
