Tracking down some steel?

I figure you crazies could find this or help me track it down.


I am looking for a 6" x 12" piece of 5160 in either 1/4 or 5/16. Everywhere I have called or emailed can only seem to get it in 4" width pieces.

I would really love it if one of you fine folk could help me find a piece or maybe has a piece like this? I dont mind paying a little more than usual, just wish I could find it!!
 
If you can't find it, I have an idea. More experienced forgers will chime in hopefully. You can get the flat bar in some pretty thick gauges, and rounds up to 2" or so from what I've seen. You might be able to have one of our members with a press squish a larger section to the thickness you need.

try a local spring shop that makes "Helper" springs for trucks. used to go by one and get 5160 as i needed it . good guys great prices since most of it was too small for them to make a spring from ,(remnant/cut off pieces).
