HHH Knives

Tracker.
I just did the heat treat on a Tracker inspired knife blade Im making for my buddy over at Screwy Squirrel forge.
He sent me some Fine Grain 1095 bars he got from Aldo, The N.J. Steel Barron.
They were nor quite large enough to make this knife so we forge welded the 2 bars together. then made it the size and thickness we wanted.
Its over 1/4 inch thick and is 2 1/4 wide and over 11" long. Its a BEAST! I did a flat grind switching to a convex grind on the front half of the blade. Making this a hand hatchet!!!
Now the best part.. when I heat treated this blade I was surprised to see that it has developed a hamon. This was quite accidental.. Yet very cool! I was worried at first that it wouldn't be hardened right. But, after a few tests.. I can say without a doubt, Its hardened properly..
Im sending this one out to Mikey. and hes gona add the handles and do that part!
As always Thanks for looking and comments are welcomed.
