Tile welds strong enough?

For those of you who have done mosaic, would you trust a "Ferry Flip" tile welded blade for use as a kitchen knife? I have made a couple of blades like this, but they were thicker and not really expected to get too much hard use.

Test one and see. I think it would be ok.

If the welds are solid, it should act just like mono steel.

You could also weld a thick billet so you get more reduction then split it and make two.
