Hi everybody, here are the kids from my latest knife making class with their blades, ages 14 to 18. Everybody had a blast and everybody went home with a blade ready for a handle.

I was thinking the same thing. I didn’t even get to do a cub scouts pinewood derby. I would have loved to be a class like this.

I never made it past cub scouts, but my father helped me make a pinewood derby car and I won.
to this day I have that trophy from 50 years ago.

Man, I don't know who I envy more- you for being able to teach all those young impressionable men, or them for sitting under your teaching! And we both know that each one of them left with a piece of you that they will have forever. Kudos!

Those are all mammoth tusks, mammoth teeth, fossil walrus tusks, a mammoth skull and other pleistocene era stuff.

I teach adults too but I like teaching the kids more. They follow instructions better, and don't come to class with bad habits they need to un-learn.
