The First Of My Figured Wild Cherry

Not finished with the shop reconfiguration just yet, but am far enough along to give this stuff a test run in between cleaning and rearranging. It has a rose-ish color to it and the radial lines in this piece are crazy. Sanded to 400 grit, rubbed down with a clean tee shirt and then hand rubbed with friction heat from bare hands and buffed with dry tee again. I'm thinking about some kitchen knives with some of this stuff.
I also got to practice a few new moves (for me), on the mini mill.

Now to take it back down and finish out all the parts

Im going to try that like tonight lol do you think it would work on walnut
Not sure Justin, I've only tried it on Thuya Burl, DIW and now this cherry, and was surprised with the results from the cherry. I just do this to give me an idea whether or not I can expect something nice from a handle material before I epoxy everything in place.
