I think it was more the craftsman! That looks great!! Nice blade also!Got a tip from opaul on doing a satin finish using a grey scotch brite pad. Tried it out tonight and I’m impressed with the results. Only sanded to 600 and hit it with the pad. It’s hard to photograph but it came out nice. Thanks opaul!

I’ve used Flitz and Mother’s. Is the simichrome any different? I don’t want it to “shine” like it would with the Flitz or Mother’s.For a final finish on the satin, after the scotchbrite, use semi-chrome polish on it.
Thanks Casey!It's a paste. It's a good metal polish that has some cut to it. It would leave somewhat of a shine, but still with a satin finish. This one is finished to 600, then scotch-brite, then semi-chrome.

Ordered from Amazon. Use the same as sandpaper. Hard backer and straight pulls.Where do you get the scotch brute pads ? And do you do straight pulls or back and forth? I’ve gotta try this!
