Got a tip from opaul on doing a satin finish using a grey scotch brite pad. Tried it out tonight and I’m impressed with the results. Only sanded to 600 and hit it with the pad. It’s hard to photograph but it came out nice. Thanks opaul!

For a final finish on the satin, after the scotchbrite, use semi-chrome polish on it.

I’ve used Flitz and Mother’s. Is the simichrome any different? I don’t want it to “shine” like it would with the Flitz or Mother’s.

It's a paste. It's a good metal polish that has some cut to it. It would leave somewhat of a shine, but still with a satin finish. This one is finished to 600, then scotch-brite, then semi-chrome.

Ordered from Amazon. Use the same as sandpaper. Hard backer and straight pulls.
