I wanted to make a gift for a family member with meaning. Given they were born in Scotland I decided to make some more home made tartan pattern micarta- i call it Tartancarta.....
Anyway I actually made this late last year along with the board (an old draw front) but never posted and I thought some may like it or get ideas for various handle materials you can make. I have looked a lot and not found much in the way of tartan scales. Blade is 12c27 and whilst not necessary the edge is shaving sharp.... because who likes a dull knife?
