I wouldn't say it's owned by Shoot Straight. they have a lot of tables at the show though. I've been to this show probably a dozen times over the years but haven;t gone in probably the last three.
The reason I stopped going is because of
1- The crowds are out of this world
2- There used to be pretty good deals on guns, not so much now. I deal with a local FFL now that gets me anything I want for $25 over cost that I find, and he has a good selection himself reasonably priced.
3- Just walking in the door your out 20 bucks between parking fees and admission, not to mention gas and time getting there.
4 - I've heard the venue has changed to get rid of the people selling jerky, jewelry, flashlight's and other stuff, but I can't say, the last time I went there was a lot of junk being hawked.
5- All that being said, there's usually some knife tables set up, not much custom or handmade stuff and I don't know any knifemakers that had tables set up at this show, I believe this is primarily for guns.
I'll add this....keep a sharp eye on your table and don't place any knives to close to the edge, like I said, this is a big show and there's a lot of shifty people in that building. that's one other reason I don't go anymore.
But hey, being surrounded by guns and like minded people always makes for a good day, I hope you sell some knives and enjoy yourself.
Good luck!
