Taking warp out of new steel ?

I think I may have asked this before but dont think it ever got an answer.
Most of my blade steel is 3"- 4" wide 1084. It's pretty warped when it arrives, sometimes a bit twisted in more than one direction. I know this is normal if it's sheared off larger sheets of steel.

It takes me ages to get this stuff flat again, especially on long blades.
Mostly eyeballing it and streightening by hand but it seems like as I correct one bend I create three more lol :p

I'm hoping there is an easier perhaps mechanical way to flatten this stuff out again.

If I were to heat this steel up in the forge then place it between two perfectly flat machined steel blocks in a vise and let it cool. Would that work or would it create stress in the steel ?

I think it will work (should allow the steel to return to a normal state) but thats just a guess. Thoughts ?

Here's what I use. Lot faster than using a wrench and vise.
