Super glue finish on stabilized wood??

Here's the Bruce Bump tutorial on finishing handles using CA glue. I think the trick is to use thin CA glue and debonder. (it's the last steps of the tutorial)

I made some utility knives and a chip carving knife and I finished them with super glue. I taped the handles and didn't want glue all over my hands so I put on nitrile gloves. The glue didn't stick to the gloves at all when I was rubbing the glue into the oak. I don't remember any glue on the gloves after it dried and it had an interesting texture to the handle.
