Stuart Wilson Kukri

Hey fellas, been lurking for a while now and finally felt its time I contributed to the site!
So, I'd like to share with you a piece made by a very talented UK maker Stuart Wilson.
His beautiful blade influenced by the traditional Khukri…

12” blade, 18” overall length of 8mm O1 steel. Flat/sabre grind with a convex final edge. Green canvas micarta with thick red liners and a stabilised amboyna pommel, held with stainless 7/16” tubes.

The work that Stu has put into this is incredible. For such a heavy blade the balance is excellent and the mirror finish is way beyond what I was expecting.
The ridge along the spine and the edges of the choil have been rounded off expertly.

Stu specializes in big blades and has some great handle designs.
Thanks for looking!

WOW! I had all kinds of knife porn thoughts come to my mind when I seen this. I can see it in action now. I bet that thing is a heck of a slasher and chopper.

Thanks murph! I've only given her a bit of use, but a 4" diameter piece of deadfall didn't offer much of a fight :D

Where do I get one? One of these would look nice in my collection sometime in the future. I do not currently own a Kukri.

Does anyone know how I can contact Stuart Wilson? I have seen some of his work, but have not been able to find information on him. Any help is appreciated.

Just stumbled across this thread on Google.

Yes Stuart is a very talented maker of knives I have several of his knives in my collection, he told me he makes knives how he likes and thinks they should be made.
When I have a few spare minutes I will take some photo's of his knives that I own and post them here.
