I forget who wrote this. After the stuff that has gone on lately, a song I sing at work and in the shop to stay focussed on what is really important.
I am pressed but not crushed,
persecuted but not abandoned
knocked down but not destroyed
I am blessed beyond the curse
because HIS promise will endure
that HIS joy will be my strength.
Though the sorrow may last through the night,
The joy comes in the morning.
I am trading my sickness
I am trading my pain
I am laying them down
For the joys of the LORD.
I am trading my sorrow
I am trading my shame
I am laying them down
For the joys of the LORD.
And I will sing
Yes LORD, Yes LORD, YES,YES LORD.
Amen.
One of several songs I sing to myself or sing out loud (nice thing about working by a big forging machine, no one can hear you) to make it through the day.
