Ok so I was doing some research on something to make some filing chores a little quicker and this popped up!



I didn’t know these existed! Seems like they would be great for at least the rough work on guards. The only downside is these kits still require some precision machining.

Die filers are awesome tools. I have been wanting to buy martin model's kit for a while, along with their small shaper. There are a lot of tools in the mold and die industry that can transition well to knife making.

I have jig saw with a busted clamp...been meaning to do convert it to a die filer for years...then bought a knife grinder and haven't thought about it for a while...
